How Renewals Work in Each State
Renewing works just like your first visit: a short video appointment with a licensed physician, then a new certification sent to your state's program. We email you a reminder before your certification expires.
Renew from my portalWhen to renew
- Start 30 days early. Most states let you recertify before your current certification lapses, so there's no gap in access.
- Watch for our reminder. We send an expiry reminder by email to the address on your application.
- Book a renewal visit. Same 15-minute slots, 9am to 9pm ET, same-day availability.
- Pay any state fee. Where a state charges a registry or card fee, that's paid directly to the state — it isn't included in our evaluation fee.
