Renewals

How Renewals Work in Each State

Renewing works just like your first visit: a short video appointment with a licensed physician, then a new certification sent to your state's program. We email you a reminder before your certification expires.

When to renew

  1. Start 30 days early. Most states let you recertify before your current certification lapses, so there's no gap in access.
  2. Watch for our reminder. We send an expiry reminder by email to the address on your application.
  3. Book a renewal visit. Same 15-minute slots, 9am to 9pm ET, same-day availability.
  4. Pay any state fee. Where a state charges a registry or card fee, that's paid directly to the state — it isn't included in our evaluation fee.
